Caprese Crostini


A simple snack, appetizer, or meal--fresh mozzarella, and freshly picked garden tomato and basil and are key to exceptional flavor ~

1/2 inch slices of baquette or ciabatta bread
mozzarella slices
tomatoe slices
Genovese basil
olive oil
salt/garlic salt

Drizzle bread slices with olive oil and toast the bread for about 5 minutes at 450 (I use a little toaster oven). Add cheese and bake for another 3-4 minutes to melt. Add tomato slices and a sprinkling of salt/garlic salt and bake for another 5 minutes. Top with a bit more olive oil, basil and enjoy!
