1 lb. shrimp (whatever size you prefer), with shells on
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 cloves garlic smashed and diced
juice of half lemon
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh lemon thyme
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
splash of Sriracha hot sauce
sea salt and pepper
Melt butter with oil and steep garlic over low heat while preparing shrimp. Peel and devein shrimp and add shells to oil/butter to simmer for added flavor while deveining the shrimp.
Remove shells from the pan, add shrimp and crushed red pepper and saute for a few minutes, just until shrimp becomes pink (do not overcook). Turn off heat and add remaining ingredients. Season with hot sauce, salt and pepper to taste.
